They used Lacrimosa from Mozart's Requiem. I can't decide if it's a good or a bad idea. What are your thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing too, except it was a short piano part in the middle of "Sober" that is similar to the main guitar tag in Iron Maiden's "Wasted Years".

Mozart was an innovator, and very much an iconoclast for his day. I think HE would have been delighted to see someone doing something with his music that upset the status quo. Just because some of his music was written for the church (most wasn't), it doesn't mean either the music or the man was "sacred."

Uh.. yeah

Technically, no... but using a liberal definition of the word.. heck yes.

Evanesance sucks... therefore should not have anything to do with Mozart.

Well, seeing as Mozart is not a god of any sort...I suppose it is fine. It isn't sacrilegious...get over it. Music can be experimental. I say good for them.
