Who feels their own cervix? Thats one heck of a reach....
I would assume if you are pregnant and have a healthy cervix it would feel solid and hard, since it would be sealed shut. I imagine the change wouldnt be that noticeable from one end of the cycle to the next, and probably a doctor wouldbe better at examining it...
I really have no idea.. thats just bizzar.

I experienced an overall heavier sensation in my pelvic area and in the cervix I suppose too. Kinda a crampy sensation from time to time. I fondly called them "shocky pains" because they almost felt like a little jolt of electricty goin thru my ********. My mom had these too, but I have not talked to many others that did. As for it physically feeling heavier or larger, I don't think so. If you really think you might be pregnant, it is worth taking a test just for your peace of mind. There is nothing worse than the am or aren't I debate your mind can take you thru. You need concrete evidence. Good luck!

Good question. What we tell women is that the non-pregnant cervix feels alsmot like the tip of your nose and the pregnant cervix feels like the tip of your chin. Now, if you are like most women what that means is that when you are not pregnant your cervix feels harder and almost like cartilidge. When you are pregnant the cervix is soft and yeilding, you can push into it and it gives a little bit.
Hope that helps. The point is that you are right, one of the early signs of pregnancy is this change in the cervix. When you are examined by a doctor they may also notice that the cervix has a slight blue-ish cast to it.
BTW, most women can feel their cervix just by reaching up into the vagina with a finger. It may take a bit of searching the first time but it is there, you can find it. All women are different and some women will find that their cervix is near to the opening of the vagina and for some women it is way up high, so a little harder to reach. All women should know what their cervix feels like so that they can notice any substantial change. It is just part of your body and the feeling that it is bizarre is, well....bizarre!
I should mention that this difference in the color and feel of the cervix is probably not noticable as soon as you are inferring. It is probably more likely to be noticed about one or two weeks after you should have started your period.
Good luck and take care.
