No, it is $499 for the 20GB model and $599 for the 60GB one. You might be confusing it with the price of the Nintendo Wii, which will be $250.

No, it's more than that in stores. More to the point is that people are expecting to get thousands of dollars for them on ebay.
Doesn't this beg the question: Why didn't sony charge $5,000 instead of $500?
