Relationships should be effortless. You should feel comfort and safety with your partner and not recoil. The best you can do is asked God to make your partner a better listener and someone that bring joy in your life and not chaos. While you are at it asked God for a better partner that will love and cherish you.

I used to do that to my husband but I've changed. I've learned that he's gonna scream at anyway but there are times when I judge whether I should tell him things. In the end I tell him though because after careful examination, I will be able to figure out what he can be mad at me about and just take the consequences.

My partner knows better than to pull that stunt with me.
I like to think we can talk about things and be honest about it.
