how do you connect to the internet now?

first make sure your PS2 has a network adapter to allow you to play online. If it is one of the slim PS2s then it came with it. If you have an old (larger) ps2, then you have to buy a network adapter separately.
plug in a RJ45 cable (network cable) into the back of the ps2 and then run the cd that came with the unit (slim ps2) to do the one time setup for the network adapter. The cd will walk you through the steps to set it up.
If you do not have an extra Internet connection, you will have to buy a router or switch and two additional network cables so you can share your current connection between your computer and ps2.
