I know a toooon of people sat outside for days to get their hands on a Playstation 3, but is the same expected for the Wii?

I'm trying to get it for my brother for Christmas, and I'm thinking of waiting in a 24 hour Wal-Mart that I know will be releasing them at 12:01 am Sunday. Should I be worried that I'm not there already?! Is Saturday morning too late?

Yes...
but not to the same degree.

They will have a midnight sale just like for the PS3 and their won't be too many beyond what was pre-ordered, but still the supply will be better than the PS3...just not much better.

I watched a PS3 sell for $15,100 on Ebay this morning!

no, the supply for the wii is much better. You can probably get one even if you didn't preorder it. Just get to a gamestop when they open on Sunday morning.

There will be chaos and hype over it, but not nearly as much as for the PS3.
