Is anyone here a user of ebay? either a seller or a buyer? Im very new to ebay and im bidding on my first item. so far i have the highest bid and i was wondering it says the seller PREFERS pay pal....What if i want to send a money order or something like that? I hate giving out CC#'s online. Id rather do it in a much safer way. Can i still send a money order means she only said she prefered paypal? Thanks so much!!!

paypal you can do an echeck or just put money into the paypal account without all that credit card junk.

remember read up on what the seller prefers.. the more you obey the sellers terms the more the seller will love you.

:D

make sure you pay on time... time is of the essence... even if you bid early... make sure you don't just start outbidding the competitors.. but if you want it and can afford to bid up.. try to do it in the last minute.... don't pay more than you have to.

always bid if you are serious.. no pay and cancelled bids make you look bad... the glory is in the feedback.. try to keep your feedback negative free.

and if you have trouble with a seller or buyer.. don't automatically just give them negative feedback.. try to work with them over the trouble... giving up and giving out negative feedback makes you look like you can't handle poorly done transactions and some will try to avoid you.

even real bad transactions can come out looking pretty with a little cooperation between you and the seller/buyer.

always leave good feedback... if it's so bad you have to leave negative... think on that.. and at the last moment when all hope is lost and you feel that others must know about the trama you endured with the seller/buyer.. then leave professional and pleasant negative remarks don't use foul language and don't argue.

PayPal is safe, I've been using it for years with no problems. It's basically the same as online banking. The seller won't see your details as the payment is processed by PayPal, and is about as secure as you can get. Probably the best thing is to contact the seller and ask if you can pay by some other means if that's what you want... use the "contact seller" link at the top right of the page.

There is a list of acceptable payments near the bottom of the page. Sellers will choose from a list what type of payments they accept. If they haven't listed a type it usually means they don't accept it but like the above says you could try asking the seller.

Paypal is, I believe, owned by Ebay therefore they put an option for the user to 'prefer paypal' to encourage more people to use it.

Rule 1. Only bid at the last minute or so. All you are doing it jacking up the price and telling some else who wants it, that you want it also. Thats when the war begins.

I have used pay pal as the intermediate with great success. The end user never know your CC info.

Hope this helps.

Some don't take money orders or checks at all...it's up to thier own preference. You'll have to ask the seller if they're willing to take other forms of payment.

ask her if she will accept that type of payment. there should be a place where it says ask seller a question.
