i am a 20 year old girl .my boyfriend is 23 and we dont have the same cast.we have been going out for 8 months.at first i didnt know about it.he told me that he is from my cast.he always tried to tell me somethin.when i ask him what is it.he couldn't reply.one day i got to know it from one of my friend. when i asked him he told me he did all this to get me.he knew if i know his real cast i would have rejectd him as its a sin in my religion to marry or go out with another religion person.we really love each other.and he dont want to loose me.but i am confused and afraid about our future.what it will be like if i marry him?will it be a sin?i am totally confused.plz help!!!!!!!!!

From a Christian perspective, we are commanded in the Old Testament to marry if we do than. In the New Testament, we are commended to remember, that should we be tempted, then we should marry to prevent sin. If we do go ahead and sin in this way, it is just a bad a sin as any other (God does not distinguish between the severity of various sins, contrary to popular belief). We are also allowed God's grace and forgiveness for sins, but are counselled not to play on this as an excuse to sin.

I don't know the answer to your question but it made me think. I wonder if we're living in sin. No one ever told me what my cast is, and I'm sure my wife doesn't know hers. How can we find out ? If we learn that our casts don't match, do you think I should dump her ? We've been very happily married for fifty three years.
The cast system of India was started by the Aryans. Cast means color. The Aryans had light skin while the original Indians were very dark. Division was made by the exact shade. After many years of intermarrying color was not reliable, so cast was determined by work type. The system is officially outlawed in India, even though it is still practiced. It would be very hard to understand how cast has anything to do with sin.
Cast was an economical arrangement. Sin is strictly religious.

It never is a sin to marry the one you love. I don't understand about caste systems but do know that it will be difficult to make the rest of the families to understand. Religion will be a factor in your answer and if you can compromise in each others belief and work together why not. But it will take both of you to work at it and help each other to understand each religion so that you can live with it.

Its not a sin, Love was made by God. Why would He see it as a sin, to fall in love with the man of your heart? Others shouldnt see your marrying this man as a sin. You know who you would be most happy with. Talk to your boyfriend about his religion & tell him about yours, if your thinking of marriage, talk about your views of the future. It will all work out, who knows he may even become apart of your cast, or at least wont pressure you into his.
Give it a chance, Marriage should be for true love!

a sin? sure not. but u may have some fights to decide what religion your children will follow. u will try to take them your side and he will do the same. i know u will have some problems but i don't think serious ones if love exists. take care, wish u luck
