I didnt think much of MAC foundation....too heavy....is it just the way i am applying....what do you girls think?

I LOVE MAC. I use their foundation, it's the lightest I've found! Are a you using a brush? That's what I do. The lady at the counter taught me to pour a little foundation on the back of my hand, then take a brush (I use the MAC 187 Duo Fibre brush), dip it in the foundation, and blend it all over the face, when you use the brush you get a lighter application but you still have coverage. It's easy to go back and add more if you need it without looking like a pancake.

If you like the foundation, but you find it too heavy, try mixing it with a touch of moisturizer. This always lightens it up.
I find most foundations too heavy and opt for a tinted moisturizer instead. MAC products are overrated and way too expensive for what you get.
I recommend going to Sephora and trying stuff out, this way you can make up your own mind as to what brands suit you best. Plus you don't have to stick to just one line - different products from different brands are usually the way to go.

Try dream matte mousse instead and apply with a sponge as is much lighter and matches the natural colour of your skin.
Just because a make up brand is well known doesnt mean there product is going to be perfect for all skin types.

I use MAC powder foundation and I love it!!! I have always found the liquids to be heavy but the powder is great!! And you must buy the brush too, the sponge makes it feel heavier.

What kind are you using? I find the full-coverage foundation to be too heavy (I use it as concealer), but I LOVE the moistureblend. I put it on very sparingly, so it's almost more like a perfectly tinted moisturizer than like a real foundation.

I don't use MAC foundation,I use Maybelline..
every other make up product I use is MAC though,
and it never fails me!!
I love the stuff,
Its likely that you probably are applying it wrong..

Really, i've always found MAC foundations really easy to use and not heave. Which one do you have. It could be the way the way that you are applying it

i think its the way you are applying it. if you use a mac foundation brush it won't be so heavy. maybelline matte mousse foundation is the best it feels the lightest and looks natural and mistake proof.

i use to wear mac, and its true, its over rated and is way too heavy. I've tried many other brands like chanel, clinque, estee lauder(to name a few), but Bobbi Brown is the ultimate best. i cant imagine ever needing to find another brand. It has really good coverage and evens your skin perfectly... it looks so natural. Ive had many compliments from girls on how natural it is, and i never got that when i used other brands....

it depends on what your using, if u want somthing light not much coverage try the select tint, if u want more coverage select spf or evne more coverage the studio fix fluid this also comes in powder
its good to apply it with a brush if u just want a light even amount i would considder buying the mac 187 brush it is pricey at US$48 but worth it!
