Malcom,
Yes I would like to have seen that not everyone is a honest and caring person. Today I can say that I read people a lot better than when I was younger. I have found that most people are good people, but not all. To be able to notice the difference is sometimes very tricky. So you have to stay on your toes and be very subtle with your approach. Some people, given the right opportunity can be very distructive and harmful. So yes I wish I knew then what I know now. I think it's called wisdom.

My father tell my mother how sorry he was for his infidelity, and how important his family was to him instead.
My dad died doing what he cherished most "cheating." The indirect effect on his children has been lots of failed marriages because the first sign of cheating we bail for fear of a loveless marriage.
The sins of our parents can last a lifetime. I am still trying to get it right. I forgive but I can't forget my mother crying and begging him to stop....

I am perfectly satified with things I saw as a child. But as a grownup there are a lot of things I wish I had not seen.
