The average woman (these days) has about three children during her life, which is almost to say between the ages of 18 and 40. Three babies in 22 years is about one baby each 7.3 years, which means the average woman is pregnant for 0.75 years out of every 7.3 years, or about 10% of the time. So about 1 in every 10 women is pregnant at any particular moment.

I think its a LOT higher than 6-8%
I would imagine it to be like 40-50%

I think it's a little more than that, but I'm not sure. I'll never be pregnant again..so I don't count anymore.
