It was working the last time I used it but when I opened it last night to use the mac the spacebar would not move unless I did the ctrl spacebar function. Is there some key function that I may have accidentally hit to make it quit working? Please anyone any advice would help me in such a big way. Thank you ALL

Give us some more info such as model of computer, is it the Apple keyboard, version of operating system, program you are typing in, is ctl the "Control" key, are you using any foreign language software (is there a flag in the menu bar next to Help)?

If this is OS X, read on. Otherwise, submit your question again with details. Open TextEdit (in Applications folder) and type. Try the spacebar. Spacebar OK? Your other program is wacky. TextEdit also has wacky spacebar operation? Keep reading.

Restart and hold the Shift key until you see the blue startup / welcome screen (could be two minutes wait). Try TextEdit again. Spacebar OK? Restart and don't hold Shift. TextEdit OK? It was drive corruption. TextEdit back to wacky? It's one of the items that open automatically at login. Go to the Apple menu (or the Dock) and choose System Preferences. Then choose Login Items. Turn off one item at a time and restart to test again. When you get rid of the problem, resinstall the program that made the Login Item.

reason its broke, caught, wiped out or your laptop is jacked sideways. Bang your spacebar rather perplexing. This wont restoration your keyboard yet you will possibly sense extra helpful. :) Unplug keyboard cable, ability off laptop, plug keyboard cable in and ability on laptop. If that fails to restoration the priority then get on your automobile and stress to wal-mart and purchase you a clean keyboard.
