On two occasions I've been having snails inside my little cottage. First time it was without the house in the sink, and the second time with its house but a smaller one in the middle of the floor.

Why are they inside and does it have to do anything with humidety? This is in the Bay area, California.

Thanks

Is your foundation broken at any corner. They could be coming in under the floor during the rainy season. I had that happen to me.

Snails that stay contained in the water are reliable for helping to keep it sparkling ! They eat the algae that has a bent to develop in ponds and fish tanks. once you've a pump contained in the pond, i'd positioned a demonstrate over the intake, do not positioned the demonstrate 'flat' severe of the intake... structure it so as that it extends previous.. both through making a ball structure, or cone, etc. this can ward off some thing from blocking off the intake through having sucked up flat hostile to it. have relaxing

Both slugs and snails are harmless and will only remain indoors where very damp conditions prevail.

Clearing outside vegetation and debris away from walls and around doors etc, and the use of slug pellets in these areas may provide some relief, but adequate heating and ventilation of buildings is the only long term solution to any problems.

I do not know why they came to your cottage, but I know how to get them out. Treat them to some beer. Seriously, snails love beer. Once they are swimming in the dish with a bit beer in it you can easily throw them out or otherwise dispose of these uninvited guests.
