Ethanol, or ethyl alcohol.

Split the water (H2O) into H and OH.
Split one of the bonds of the double bond two form two new single bonds.
Attach the H to one, the OH to the other, to form H3C-CH2OH.

Ethene doesnot react with wather..We produce ethene by Kolbe
reaction.Here we collect ethene trough a water pipe line.

e rxn is called hydration. ethanol(C2H5OH) is produced.
