The erection is exclusive to men... since no part of a woman's body needs to get quite that stiff in order to have intercourse. An aroused woman does have increased blood flow to her genitals, which can change their colour and stiffen the clitoris, but even so, she doesn't have the right anatomy to get anything as rigid as a normal male erection.
