You are talking about TLC's (Tax Lein Certificates). Typically those are administered by your state. I can only speak of here in Michigan, but after locating their "Escheat" department, I learned those auctions are only once a year in May.

Open your local newspaper to the classified ads. There is a section called Legals - the notice of the foreclosure will be posted, then later, the notice of the sale.

They usually have them twice a year! Go to your county's Tax Appraisal District website or office and ask them when the next Sheriff's Sale is going to be.
