First of all, do you know if and when YOU are ovulating each month? I wouldn't rely on ovulation calculators on web-sites because they are only averages. Every woman is different. You can chart your daily basal body temperatures. You buy a basal thermometer (also called a fertility thermometer) at most drug stores for about $10. Take your temp everyday as soon as you wake up. When your temp rises about 0.5 degrees F, then you ovulated the day before. Check out fertilityfriend.com. You can learn more about charting your bbt and chart for free on their site. They also have good information about early signs of ovulation and the best time for conception. Bbt charts are useful tools for your OBGYN to use to help diagnose some fertility problems.
I would make an appointment with your OBGYN and get an exam and some routine tests done just to rule out any medical issues interfering with conception. I don't advise waiting a year to see a Dr. because time is precious and time wasted ttc could be spent with your precious baby.
I understand wanting to let nature take its course. However, sometimes nature needs a little help. Conception requires many different hormones. Many fertility meds are synthetic hormones to supplement whatever your body is lacking. Some diabetics take insulin because their body doesn't produce enough, so what is the difference?
My prayers are with you for quick conception and a healthy baby.

Eating little and often helps, as you end up eating more calories than you would if you were just eating three meals a day. Eating junk is a no-no,it just makes you unhealthy. If you want to be curvy, have lots of carbs have full-fat everything, although don't over-do it when frying food (again, junk=unhealthy) Try not to get too fat, that causes as many problems as being overweight. Make sure you never miss a meal, and try not to get too stressed about anything - this screws up the digestion process. Eating more can be time-consuming, but if you keep a diary it may encourage you to progress more with your high calorie diet. Most importantly, don't over-do it. It may seem attractive to be "pudgy" now but there's a thin line between looking healthy and being fat, and once you become fat, it's very hard to get back to something you like. Hope I helped =)

4 months is nothing. Although it may seem like it has been a long time, it takes MOST couples up to 12 months to conceive. I have been TTC for over 3 years, so it could be a lot worse for you. Think of it that way. Once you have been TTC for 12 months, your doctor will see you and he can start running tests to see if there is something wrong. You have the right attitude, God knows what he is doing, and there is a reason behind all of this

Ok first 4 months is nothing, anywhere from 1-6 months is perfect ( Doctors say not to worry till after 1 year) just you and your body are not working together yet!! Have you been using the ovulation tests? ( you can get them at walmart) Talk to your doc. to to boost your chances. The Doc. won't do anything till like 1-2 years of trying and not conceiving. ( I know cause my best friend has been trying for like almost 3 years and 7-8 months ago she went on clomid and still nothing) anyways DO NOT get your hopes up!! it takes a while and as they say when you actually try it takes a while!!
Good Luck

I'm in the same boat you are, except I've been trying for 6 months. I think there are a lot of factors that play into why you haven't conceived. Like many people said, stress can play a role in why you aren't conceiving. I was taking the pill for many years before we decided to try to conceive, so I think that might have something to do with it too.
Like you said, God has a plan for you and he will bless you with a child when he thinks the time is right. Good luck to you and don't worry about it to much.

Both of my children were conceived with fertility doctors and medication, so I can't really help with the 'natural' part, but doctors don't consider any problems until 6 months to a year. If you haven't conceived by then, your OB/Gyn or a fertility doctor can run some preliminary tests to see if ovulation is occurring, sperm count is OK, no tubes are blocked, etc. Good luck!

Well for a normal, healthy couple it normally can take anywhere from 6 months to a year. If after a year still no pregnancy-then that is when you might want to consult a fertility specialist. If you are older 35+ then you will want to consult a Dr. sooner. Good luck.

Since it has only been 4 months, I wouldn't worry too much. 80% of all couples conceive within one year with no medical intervention. You could start charting your Basal Body Tempature and using ovulating strips. Once you know your fertile days, have sex every other day. Having sex everyday, can decrease your husband's sperm count.
Keep your hopes up. If you don't get pregnant within one year, then seek medical help.

Hang in there sweety. Just keep praying and it will happen. 4 months is really not that long at all. Me and my ex tried for 6 years before we finally conceived. Just be patient. Maybe you are trying to hard also, that can mess up your whole system.
