I have one in a hope chest that has been passed down in my family for four generations. It's always the first thing that gets loaded when we move. In it, there are marraige certificates, death certificates, locks of hair (one from my great grandmother) and each generation gets to choose one toy they loved best. Mine is a stuffed animal that my mom made me when I was little. The rest of my childhood mementos are stored in another hope chest that my mother in law gave me, along with my husbands childhood keepsakes. We are using it to start a tradition in our family.
