This is an arithmetic sequence. It may look complicated with the fractions but the sequence is merely adding 1/8 to the number before it.

(a) Arithmetic.

1/8 + 1/8 = 1/4
1/4 + 1/8 = 3/8
3/8 + 1/8 = 1/2

It's Arthimetic because you are adding 1/8 to each number.

1/8, 1/4 (equivalent to 2/8), 3/8, and 1/2 (equivalent to 4/8)
