dotnet is another way that microsoft is trying out to get you BY THE BALLS again.
They are already making it essential for many of their applications.
It is fat and lazy and will require you to buy bigger more powerful computers that will cost more and run slower and take longer to boot up.
On the up-side, it means that MS programming teams will have to spend less time programming decent efficient fast code and spend more time helping that rotten sod gates to count his zillion dollar fortune.
