I was offered Larry Fitzgerald and Tiki Barber for Carson Palmer and Thomas Jones. I have Mcnabb and Rivers at QB already and really got Jones off waivers last week. I have Rudi Johnson and lost Portis, but was making a move for Chester Taylor...My WR corp is tough, Andre Johnson, Hines Ward, Javon Walker and Terry Glenn. Barber does not get in the endzone. I would love Fitz, as I am good with losing Palmer. Should I counter asking for Duece Mcalister instead, as he scores?

Well, you already have two great QB's so trading Palmer won't be a burden. So, in effect, you're trading Thomas Jones for Fitzgerald and Barber. Keep in mind that Barber is due for some touchdowns (players tend to gravitate towards their career numbers) and Mcalister may not get as many touches as they try to groom Reggie Bush into the starting position next year.

I would say to pull the trigger on this offer. Sounds like you have a great team. Good Luck!

Given who you have at the QB spot it sure looks like a good deal to me. Barber is a #1 RB on a team that is playing pretty good and appears to be a solid Super Bowl contender so you have to believe Barber will put up quality numbers(always consider history, players seem to end up very close during their peak years to the same numbers from year to year). Also with Toomer out I would bet Barber gets even more passes thrown his way. McAlister is good but I am not sure the Saints can keep up the winning and it seems they are geared more toward passing anyways.
A bonus for you is Fitzgerald as Glenn is hurt so he would give you depth. Also Glenn had his best numbers with Bledsoe at QB, they played together before and they had a comfort level that likely wont exist with Romo starting.
One more thing to keep in mind, Jones has a history of slowing down over the course of the season (which is exactly why the Bears wanted Benson to take the job in the first place). It also seems likely given Jones history that the bears will give benson more looks if for no other reason than to try to keep Jones a little fresher for the playoff's.

first off you need to figure out if the dude u are trading with is going to be in the playoffs, because if you make it into the playoffs and he doesnt then yea your golden, if he makes it in with you and beats you with your own guys then your gonna feel dumb and deal with that until next year....... with that said the schedules would seem to favor you but Carson is gonna be throwing a lot to get a lot of points on the board so that they can make a push for the playoffs
