I'm an Asian and in my culture we have arranged marriage. Previously arranged marriage were much more then now a days. People now get to know each other, date, have relationship and then get married. At the same time cheating each other has increased.
One of my cousin cheated his wife and his wife cheated him. they both know this but still they are staying with each other and just compromising with each other. they did arranged marriage. But its the nature of the men to cheat, its doesn't matter the marriage is arranged or else. Not only men, women also cheat.
As my country most of the people are Muslim and our religion doesn't permit any sexual relationship before marriage, people were much conservative and respectful towards the religion before. But now man and women get to know each other, study together, work together so illicit relationship has increased. Its not necessary to cheat but time is the reason that has increased cheating.

60% of men in this culture cheat. And we our own mate.
40% of women in our culture cheat. I suspect with numbers like that, we are talking about a evolutionarily passed biological imperative involved. If it's a biological imperative, it will cross cultural bounds.
I know I wasn't cut out for monogamy. I don't cheat (as in breaking rules), but my wife and I allow each other the freedom to date and have romantic, intimate relationships with others. We are polyamorous.

It's like asking....
'I understand that love marriages are part of western culture, but many men stray and have affairs? why?'
My opinion is that there will be men in all cultures who will stray...after marriage. The reasons may be one of many...eg, no mutual respect, lousy sex life after children, easily available women....etc.etc.....
