Although he was excellent I would have liked some of the old stuff too as I hadn't seen him live before

I didn't see him, friend, but lately, I don't think I would bother. Since he's taken up with Patti Scialfa he seems to have gone really miserable. I preferred him in the days when he'd got some spirit.

I didnt see Bruce in Sheffield, but i did see him in Manchester for the Seeger Sessions Tour. I think what he has done with those old folk songs is really good, and i love the new stuff, and i thought the concert was pretty good too and Bruce was still energetic and playing the crowd even though the music wasnt his big bold anthemic stadium stuff of old. I guess it depends whether your into the big bold brash 80's rocker Bruce or whether your more into the folk story telling Bruce. Ive only seen him twice in concert.....once solo for Devils and Dust, and the Seeger sessions tour, never seen him with the E Street Band doing a stadium "best of" gig, and im sure the two are very dfferent animals.

I wasn't there but I'd like to comment on the special that Springsteen did on CMT, with the Pete Seeger songs....I thought he did a good job with that, and I think that Patti has been good for him, unlike the model that he was married to...but I guess in fairness to her, there's two sides to every story...sometimes I think these artists get tired of doing the old stuff...they don't realize what it means to us..the fans....
