Macular degeneration is a different subject. I know of something that persons who have used it claim it reversed macular degeneration in them.
BUt near sightedness and far sighted ness it is reported can be overcome with excersises of the muscles that suround the eye balls, It seems that our eyes are being help out of shape by our muscles. And some can retrain their muscles to bent the eyeballs differently.

Do you need to improve your vision? Is your vision normal? Do you have problems with distance vision? Near (reading) vision? Unless your problem with vision is due to weakness of eye muscles - there is no device or exercise that will help. The most serious ocular (eye) problems do not decrease vision until they are well established. Everyone should have an eye examination around age 20, age 30, age 35, and age 40 - with the frequency after this depending upon findings - generally every 3-5 years.

There are several methods to improve quickly and naturally eye sight... To know how to do that you can find here a compelte method based on researches done by some scientist, for a cheap price:
http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=413
I can give you just some tips but I suggest to give a look to the method that i posted above...for example you can take more food that contains vitamin A such as carrots may help to naturally improve your eye sight. We can also always do exercises. There are exercises such as rolling your eyeball to form an invisible square that are always recommended by the doctors to improve one's eyesight. I don't know about quickly as there is no fast way to reach one's goal.
Vegetarians can help to improve one's eye sight. I believe it because I am a vegetarian and my eye short-sightedness power remains the same without any increase after about 2 years. The doctor was shocked because teenagers at my years will usually have a most increase since we are always watching TV, playing computers and also reading. I do not know whether it is totally true or not but it does affect a bit on the result.
Anyway i suggest to check the link that i posted :) It worked for me
Hope it helps.

I highly doubt there are exercises that will help improve your eye vision. If you are sitting whole day in front of the computer, your eye gets adjusted to "close up". In different words, you will see rather good at smaller distances, but won't see that good at longer distances. You can help your long-range vision if you, at least once every hour whilst in front of computer, star at some long point. Go to your windows and find some distant church and just stare at it. Anyways, you can always have laser correction, which is far more effective, but relatively expensive. Sorry for my bad english,it isn't my first language. Hope I've at least gave you some ideas.

When I was about nine it was found that I had a lazy eye and my vision was about 20/64 in my right eye. I was prescribed glasses and told they would improve my vision, but I noticed a trend that every time I returned I needed a stronger prescription, not a weaker one. I deducted that these glasses were only a means for prolonging my visual problems and paying off my eye doctors elaborate bills. I began subjecting myself to a series of tests and exercises that allowed me to improve my focus and visual acuity and the ability to distinguish obscure shapes and shading. My eyesight has improved greatly since then and I have continued regularly seeing the eye doctor and refusing to pay for glasses.

Medically speaking this wouldnt work it would only strain your eyes and make them weaker than they are for a short period of time because they would get tired. Theres no way you could improve your eye site by excercise. I mean there are surgeries such as lasik operations or eye glasses and contacts. There are reasons why your eyes cant see as well as other peoples eyes, such as having hypermetropia or myopia or astigmatism. In which your eye is too long where the light rays converge to land in front of the lens rather than passing through to the retina, or too short where the light rays land behind the lens after converging. And astigmatism where they fall on different plains so theres no way to actually do excercise which will make the eye see better, its not a "muscle". Good luck, sounds like those programs are a scam.

Centrum sell a multi-vitamin that contains Lutein which is specifically for health eyes.
I spend a lot of time in front of a computer and find my vision blurs if I don't take regular breaks. Decided to invest in a great piece of software called RSI Guard that monitors typing and mousing and forces you to take a break. It contains videos of stretching, etc. You can download a free trial from www.keytools.com

Definitely - try the Bates method - there's a good book by Jonathan Barnes that has helped me (got my copy at a car boot sale - try ebay!). There are others out there based on the same principles that Bates came up with. It may take a few weeks (or even months) before you notice an obvious improvement, it's definitely worth sticking at it.
