If you're buying them each one pair of pants and one shirt, I'd say, yeah, that too much. But if you're buying them both a lot of clothes for that money, what's the problem? They're six; they'll be an inch or two taller next week. And hopefully the clothes will last them longer than two months. Buy them just a little bigger so they can grow into them and have them for a while.

I have 2 boys - it's kind of alot. For the holidays I would by them 2 nice shirts(or sweaters) each and just 1 bottom each. It depends who you are visiting and how many times, etc. I would not spend more than 15/20 on each for holdiay items. (You can find great stuff at that price- shop on line! ) They grow so fast. But do think about hand me downs -if so, buy basic good qualtiy stuff for that - providing they are the same shape! (My boys 18 months apart - are now a husky and a slim - so hand me down pants don't work) Again, I do alot of online shopping at old navy and gap - check out their clearance - VERY good deals and great quality. I maybe spend 5 bucs on a shirt and 10 on jeans.
Get those pants w/ adjustable elastic waists and buy a size bigger so it will last longer- just roll the hem line up or under.
Its hard - I know. Overall - and I can afford it - I have never gone out and spent $200 for my boys and one time for clothing for a couple months (okay not counting winter coats - and buys those bigger too!)

I thinks it's alot, especially for the smaller one. At least with the bigger boy, his clothes could be hand me down's for the little guy later on. You aren't going to be getting designer brands at JCP, so your money should go far there. I must say, I agree with your hubby. Sorry to be a scrooge. Maybe if shoes are needed too- or winter coats, but if it's just jeans, and regular clothes, that is alot of $$.

that's not too much at all. i have two boys, a two year old and an 8 month old. i don't think they're spoiled at all with how much i spend on their clothing, they just grow so fast. spending 200 dollars, especially around the holidays to make sure they have nice fitting, clean, and appropriate clothing is not bad.

Nothing wrong with that as long as you make sure you buy them things that are too big, because kids grow out of clothing very fast!
If you are getting one thng for each of them then yes, it is too much but if you are getting lots of stuff, then it is more than reasonable and maybe not enough!
Your husband is a cheapskate... Especially if you can afford it comfortably.
Tell him I said to lighten up and let go of the purse strings. Things are expensive these days.

nicely i might say that in case you're purely making plans on the garments to extra healthful for 2 months, you're able to no longer spend that plenty, except of direction you have the money to spend. in my opinion, i might wait til they're set in a length for slightly in the previous spending that plenty on outfits. whilst that element comes, i might say it is not too plenty by way of fact whilst they improve out of one length and are set in yet another, they like new outfits, and one hundred$ for a clean cloth cabinet for a baby is a sturdy quantity. all of us understand outfits ain't low-priced! LOL additionally, in case you will spend that plenty to take great element on the subject of the sales, do no longer purchase in simple terms one length, purchase approximately 2 so as which you've some outfits for the subsequent length they like. I snatched up a team of garments from Kohl's Gold celebrity Clearance for my 2 infants.

Your husband hasn't bought clothes much has he? I think you could go through that $200 real fast unless you found some really good bargains. Especially if you add coats to the list.

No way prolly not enough, I got clothes for my one son at WalMart and spent $150 and didn't get hardly anything for that. And JC Penny's cost more than Wal Mart and for two kids you prolly won't get as much as you would like with that.
