My sister's baby never dropped and she ended up having a C-section. I do not want this to happen to me.

Are there any exercises I can do or any positions I can sit in?

I am 39 weeks along and my baby is still at a -3 station.

When did your babies finally drop?

Your baby will drop when you go into labour, he/she doesn't need to drop before then.

You can try using a flashlight or music on headphones to the him/her lower.

With my first son when I took Bradley method classes we did a kind of "hula dance" that is supposed to help the baby drop. It's not fast, just a slow motion of your hips like a hula dance. I did this with my youngest son, however, and he would not drop. I had to have him by c-section because I was in labor 12 hours, fully dilated, and he would not enter the birth canal. He became distressed so they had to go in and get him. So, I think it might just depend on the baby.

My first son did drop, he was 9 lbs 4 ounces, and I had him natural with no meds.

usually the first ,engages at around 28weeks ,please do not try anything to push baby down as it wont work ;somewomen are not large enough in the pelvic area to accomodate a full term baby fully engaged, this maybe why your sister had a c section, and if she hadnt the outcome would have been horrendous.

Constant rubbing the belly may help. You should really allow the baby to move in its own time.

I dropped about a week before labor began.

There is nothing you can do to help this along-this is nature's responsibility! I am 32 weeks prego with my 4th. Let nature take it's course, and hang in there!

My doc told me to do LITTLE jumping jacks, walking up and down the stairs, just constant walking with a little hop! Good luck! It worked for me!
