I like how you phrased your question - Bush's government or perhaps it should be Bushs' government. Since he took office, that is exactly what it has been as opposed to what our so called democracy was meant to be.
As for what is going on with Bushs' government, are we ready for Jeb in 2008? George doesn't care that the Republicans lost control because he still has the almighty veto power. The plan from this point on is to make the Democrats look bad over the next two years, which won't be difficult to do, since George will ensure that nothing changes. The American people will blame this on the Democratic party and Jeb will win, either by default or by fixing the elections through losing votes, keeping the poor people from voting, or by corrupting the voting machines.

First it is the government of the United States of America, not the Bush government and second your question covers extensive ground. Post additional details as too what issues you are actually referring to and I am sure you will get better answers.

Well, since the Democrats now control both houses, he's what we call a "lame duck" President.
He's coasting...the Dems will pretty much tell him what he's doing for the next two years..

It's the U.S. government and it is business as usual (Congress busy finding ever more inefficient and wasteful ways to spend my money and drive this country further into debt).
