Ok guys I need your help. At my church the youth group would like to do a play of some sort. The younger children are doing the nativity thing. But we want something different. Maybe just some good songs. I am really stumped. If you have anything or a script of some sort you would like to email me you can do so at adm_sec_jmh2@yahoo.com. Serious answers only please!

I did this play with my school theatre group for our christmas party. it's a very funny little piece with a nice twist on the standard nativity story. requires very little rehearsal, also you can shift the characters around for whatever you have for casting people-wise. the link is below, and the best part is it's free to use.

I wrote a short story about Christmas. It is kind of absurdest and people in Church might find it a little off. It does not really sell God. But I would be glad to send it to you. Free of charge, just make sure you show my name. It is three characters, about 15 minutes, funny, and absurd. In the same light as Waiting for Godot, and "R&G are Dead" Just send me a note if you are interested.

Well if you are looking for something a bit different You could try the show "Butterfingers Angel". It is a definatly different take on the christmas story. However the costumes are little on the demanding side.

Why don't you re-enact the White Christmas scene, or you could be a group of Christmas carolers and have different families who act out a part of being sang to and then say how special it was.....or something! :)

try the Littlest Angel.... I did this one in 10th grade and it really helped to expand the acting levels of the cast...
