YES.......
But then again I love sex. I remain single and only have casual sex though so no-one really gets hurt. I have slept wit the boss and his wife together in a threesome in the past. It did me no harm and although I no longer work for him I would again if it meant promotion and more money...
I guess I'm just a tart.. lol
Jemms xxXXxx

Katie, because of my human resource background, I want to caution you about a few things in considering this.
First of all, it's a bad idea. It shows that you are willing to do ANYTHING (translation: desperate) to get ahead. Secondly, it does not guarantee ANYTHING in terms of a promotion, other than your boss has some control over you.
Third, what happens if one of you gets more attached than the other in regards to this, how would you feel about working with him later on. For instance, you moved on and he's still wanting this from you? Or you still want this from him and he's no longer interested. Can you revert to a professional work relationship after going to bed with him?
Let's say you two become a couple. How will this affect your professional work relationship. How will the others see you in the business environment. If the co-workers find out, and you get a promotion, they will say that you got it because you slept your way to the position, not because of your abilities outside the bedroom.
Very few of these relationships ever remain private. Co-workers will gossip and if they see you talking to your boss in a familiar fashion, non-verbal cues that you are an item. The least that will happen is be the fodder for a lot of speculation. The worst that will happen is that one of you could lose your job. Because many companies will not allow a boss and a subordinate to be involved with one another.
Very few sexual/romantic relationships between boss and subordinate ever work out.
Don't forget, that you have no promise of anything. Even if it's implied that you will get ahead, I doubt that he's willing to put anything in writing on any promises and verbal promises based upon quid pro quo sexual favors won't be looked upon highly by his supervisors, the HR department or any court of law. So you don't have any guarantee and you've just put yourself in a compromising position by lowering your ethical standards.
Finally, and think about this carefully. Sexual harrassment may not be something you are thinking about right now. But if you do sleep with him and he wants to continue expectations for more sexual favors and you don't, it will be very difficult to claim sexual harrassment at a later time.
Bottom line, from a former HR professional....don't do it.

No, because I wouldn't want to further my career that way. I want to get on because I'm good at what I do and not because I put out.
Also, your boss would always have something over you and it would make the working relationship really hard as you carried on working together. If you asked for a rise or a promotion (even though you had earned it) there would always be that thing of maybe you should just sleep with him again to get it - I mean, you did it once.
Plus, if he asked, its sexual harassment and against the law and I would probably rather get a payoff for the company and go work somewhere that respected me.

Here is a GOLDEN RULE to always follow!!! NEVER, but NEVER sleep with your boss or anyone else that you currently work with! NEVER date your boss or anyone that you currently work with. You will gain so much RESPECT and actually advance in your career just as well if not quicker!! It's not worth it....you will loose in the end if you do!!! There are plenty of men OUTSIDE of work that you could have a meaningful relationship. Please know, sex is only one facit of a relationship. If you are just looking for a little excitement on the job, well, I would certainly think of other things than screwing the boss on the desk!! LOL! Good Luck!

NEVER! The only way to progress in your job is to work hard. If you sleep with your boss, you are opening yourself up to sexual harrassment for starters, and jealousy/trouble from your colleagues.....
If you can't get ahead with the skills you have, what's the point? In my opinion (and I'm sorry if the question was about you), only lamers and lazy slags would sleep with their boss.
It's like.... why work hard, when you can shag the boss and not have to work so hard? A very very bad attitude to take, and not one that will get you very far in life!

Okay, let me tell you this. I would not sleep with my boss to further my career if i was older. I would quit that job and get a new one, no one should sleep with his or her boss only to further career, thats just not right!

I wouldn't just to further my career but if he was good looking and no one would get hurt by it then why not - you only live once.
But, if you think it will further your career then you are wrong - have a bit more respect for yourself and your ability to do your job well and promotion will come for you anyway!

No I wouldnt.
1stly there must be a better way to further your career (unless of course you're a hooker!) and 2ndly, you can never guarantee nothing bad would come of it - your boss may end up talking etc. I think this is a bad situation all round!
Dont go there!

Absolutely. I am single. Nothing like *ing the one who *cks everyone on payroll. Sc rew your way to the top, or be on top. Money is money, if success comes by being happy, and making others happy, and no one is hurt, then why not?
P.S. If gay, I doubt if someone would want to do it with a boss of the same sex unless gay; if straight they would probably not do it with a gay-lesbian boss.

Personally i dont think i could, or would want to do it, but at the end of the day its your decision. You've got to do, what you've got to do. Just think hard about the possible consequences. Could he use it against you in the future etc.
Also is it a gurantee that it will help your career?

Your crystal ball is amazing.... how can you be so sure that it will further your career and even if it does, how can you be sure that nothing bad will come of it?
I wonder how far the one before you got in their career????
