Yes, this is certainly possible. I work in a gyne office, and about once a week we get an appointment made for a "foreign body in vagina." More often than not, this is a tampon, but there have been times that people have come in with other things stuck up there, like penis rings, peircings, and other kinds of sex toys! Keep in mind though, the vagina is not the black hole. Whatever is stuck in there cannot go very far. I would advise trying to have a partner help with getting whatever is stuck out first before going to a doc. This can be very embarrassing. With tampons, make sure you get them out in a timely manner to prevent toxic shock syndrome.

It can never be truly stuck. The vagina is only a few inches deep. Even if the string did come out (it happens, but rarely), you can reach up and get it with your fingers (sounds gross, I know). If you squat down, that shortens the vaginal canal, making it even easier to reach. If it is stuck becuause it is too dry (also possible), either wait an hour or so or else sit in a bath for a little bit. It is easy to remove once saturated. Don't sweat it. Tampons are safe to use.

Where are you putting this tampon to get it stuck?! Are you shooting it in there with some kind of gun or something?

A tampon is small and come with strings to pull them out. The string is fairly long and should not be crawling anywhere. When your period is light and you use too big a tampon, it can be a little chafing and difficult to pull because of the dryness, but it certainly shouldn't be stuck there for long. Just relax and pull gently and steadily. it shouldn't be a problem, but if you're unconfortable pulling it out, seat in a warm bath with your legs open so that water may reach in and moisten it enought o come out. Plus, if you've strenghtened your vaginal muscles enough, you can also push it out.

I am 29 yrs now, but when i first started using tampons at the age of 13, I went to a water slide park with friends and had one in. while we were changing out of our suits and showering, I couldn't find the string. .I got very scared. Eventually after reaching in there for it, I was able to recover the string and pull it out. But be careful. The safest way to get it removed is by going to the obgyn. .. no need to be embarrassed, they see a lot of things!

If IT went UP, it MUST come DOWN! The first time I used a tampon I swore it had stuck, and it was crawling my blood but eventually I got it out.

Yes, Yes, Yes

Usually u can remove it, but u have to relax and be in position to grab it or the string if u can find it and gently start to pull down away from vagina.

But Ob-Gyn remove alot of them that have gone wear they aren't suppose too! So if u or a friend can't get it, call Ob-Gyn... you don't want to risk toxic shock syndrome. And if u were one of the unlucky girls to get it stuck with Dr removing. Let them help u get comfortable with using this method of handling your menstrual flow. Good luck

Yes, My 16 year old had this happen last year. It was awful. Here's the solution! Lay down, Gently PUSH it up just a little to get it away from the obstruction, gently put your finger to the tampon making a "guide" and pull it out. Don't make the same mistake she did and keep pulling!

it sure is. It can happen if you forget you have it in and the string creeps up, it can happen if you have sex and forget its there, and yes i do know a girl who did just that lol. She found out because she was experiencing pain, and a strange odor,,she expelled it when she was having a BM, from the pushing, the force pushed the tampon out too. Stranger things have happened

I think that it is rare, but yes i have heard and read of it happening. The Dr. can go in and get it out for you, the sooner the better-you don't want to get an infection. Don't be too embarrassed to go, they have seen it ALL!
