The only extra you'll be paying for in construction is the actual cost of the generator. There's nothing special about the pool itself.
Expect a generator like the Goldline Aqua Rite to run about 1500 bucks installed and with the initial salting. No more and that's Canadian dollars.
contrary to what aussie has posted, salt generated pools have a salinity of between 2500-3400 ppm. Less than 1/300 th that of a human tear. There is no issue with pool surfaces nor equipment. Julia Child, the cooking guru, would have difficulty tasting any salt in the water.
He may be thinking of a marine pool, which uses sea water. Totally different animal.
If the contractor you sign with is any good, they'll be quite familiar with salt systems. About 40% of new north american pool construction uses them. They go into about 95% of the pools the company I sub contract to, builds.

SALT WATER POOLS HAVE TO HAVE SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TO HANDLE THE SALT AS IT IS HIGHLY CORROSIVE AND WILL COST PROBALBY 2 TIMES AS MUCH AS A PLAIN WATER POOL
