Democrats are acting like a fish out of water, but there are some crabs in the barrel that are trying to undermine Pelosi. (Ship Dehoy!) I assume because she is a woman and is powerful than them. Sexist are both Dem and Rep when it comes to women leaders.

Republicans are like a kid that just lost it bottle. He is crying because he is hungry for all those perks that the lobbyist was given to them and now they are left sucking their thumbs and hoping no one notice that they had an accident in their pants and the country is out of pampers--so improvise Call Guilliani the cheating husband and shady character with a Brooklyn cccent. Not so fast, McCain is on the hunt, Lieberman is Independent and your nemesis Al Gore smelling like a Rose (no pun intented) here.

Education, health care, minimum wage, trade, trade agreements, reducing compliance costs and the big one.. Tax ____. Damn, i have forgotten, its tax something... Tax knife? dammit, i will get it one day.

Anyway, there are hundreds of initiatives out there, these are but a few.

Oh and to the other posters, its so fashionable to rail against politicians, but you need to have a clue what you are talking about first.

There is actually more power and money in the private industry spalshing your money around, these people work inside the system to try and make things better. Whether you agree with them or not, 98%+ of politicians are over-worked and underpaid, but are doing so to try and make a difference to their country.

they passed the minimum wage increase, there is talk of making college more affordable and accessilbe (in certain states they have legislation e.g. Ohio). cutting back on trade with foreign countries, less dependence on fossil fuels by trying to make energy from alternative sources.
