Sometimes nothing, its just that some people call them by different names. HOWEVER sometimes middle school would be grades 6 & 7 and Junior high would be grades 8 & 9. Hope this helps.

There is no differance. They mean the same thing. It's like the junior form of a high school and it's in the middle between the basic school systems. Same thing.

there are 3 choices.
1. nothing
2. 7&8 is middle 8&9 is junior
3. some schools say 5 and 6 is middle and 7 and 8 is junior high.

junior high schools are usally attached to the high school like the whole school has grades 7-12 but middle schools have 2 or 3 grades

there not people used to call it junior high and in some schools they still do but now they call it middle school

Well, where I live Middle School is typically 6th, 7th, and sometimes 8th grade.
Now, in my town, the 9th and 10th were separated from the 11th and 12th. (we called the 9th and 10th, the intermediate high, aka junior high school)
Freshman and Sophs weren't seperated for maturity purposes; purely size issues.
