I believe Antartica is not an international-wildlife-preserve, and fishing and hunting are banned. But if you did fish there, you would either have to
a) cut a hole in a thin part of the ice and but your line with extra sinkers on it and then fish away
or
b)stand on the edge of the ice and throw you line in and let it sink to the bottom and then fish away.

Depends on the type of fish you want to catch. The japanese and some others are krill fishing down there right now, so there is commercial fishing taking place. If you want krill or other schooling fishes (yes, there are schooling fishes there) try a net. If you want fish that live right under the ice (yes, some fish like to live immediately under the ice) try a drift line or a long line. For bottom fish, well, its deep so you will need a lot of line and a weight. Fishing down there is no different than any other open water fishing system, just a whole lot colder and i dont think its legal.

Fishing in Antarctica would have to be done through a process called bottom fishing. Put extra sinkers on your line so it will go to the bottom. In that temp. that's where the fish stay.

1. Go to the grocery and buy yourself a frozen fish...
2. go out into your garage, turn off all the lights and drill a hole into the floor and fill it with ice water.
3. have tons of Ice blocks shipped in and install a wind tunnel.
3. put the fish onto a hook and pole and hang it into the hole
4. pretend to make little jerking motions
5. pull in your catch.
You have just successfully completed the simulated catching of a fish in Antarctica exercise. Have a nice day.

Imitate the penguins the penguin use to catch a fish by the method to swim in the freezy water and try to catch one but you need to be a good catcher because fish is hard to catch and watchout on sea lions or killer whale.
