Or is that too politically correct?

They say "Happy Holidays" a lot in America, like the Coke ad "Holidays are comin'/Holidays are comin'" Instead of "Christmas is a-comin'"

Personally I find 'Happy Holidays' aggressively correct. If non-Christians have chosen to live in a Christian country they should not take offence at local customs.

Besides - Christmas isn't just about Christianity - it was a Pagan Yule-tide, winter festival long before God had anything to do with it, and anyone of any faith can celebrate the traditions of family, food and pressies that go with it...
:)

And the UK PC nutters can shove the idea of 'Winterval' as far as I'm concerned - stick with Christmas or the Pagan festivals - don't make up a meaningless new one - as a native Christian I find that in itself offensive!

;)

Merry Christmas one and all!

Well,in the US there is a big mix of people who have beliefs in different religions..
I'm not saying that that's not the case in Europe,it is.
Its just there's not as big a population in Europe.
And as far as I know America doesn't have its own religion if you know what I mean, kind of like the way Ireland is considered a Roman Catholic country and the UK is considered protestant,
I don't think the US has any particular religion associated with the country,therefore they say 'Happy Holidays', as there's no particular religion connected to the nationality..

I still say Merry Christmas; I celebrate Christmas, not "holiday"; by the way, I'm not offended if someone wishes me Happy Hanukkah, or whatever; I realize that they mean the best and are not trying to convert me or offend me;

Only in Europe ? Non Christians live everywhere on earth, so there is no offense I presume, either say Happy Holidays or Happy Christmas.

Stick with Happy Christmas - I think the world is becoming too politically correct!

Why should we worry about people who are not Christians, being offended by a Christian holiday?????? Go try and tell Muslims that they cant call Ramadan, Ramadan anymore because it offends someone who is not Muslim. i say, if u've got a prob with Christmas, dont celebrate it, and too bad for you. Why should i not mention the name of one of my own religious holiday?

That's stupid, Christmas is a Christian festival! It's Political correctness gone mad, I'm a Christian and I'm definitely not offended if Jew says "happy hannukah" or whatever.
