Good match-up, they have no advantage on height whatsoever, but I pick Jordan.
They have great offensive skills. Kobe could shoot the lights out of Mike and Mike could get to the rim and do the circus shots.
Their defense is good as well. Both have All-Defensive team selections and are great at stealing.
But Jordan has a bigger basketball I.Q. than Kobe, and knows the game. That's a big advantage. Since Mike also has a longer vertical leap, he just might beat Kobe in the boards and may block Kobe's attempts once or twice.
But there is a small percentage Kobe will win, since he shoots three better than Mike.
But, overall, Mike > Kobe

Kobe Bryant is the best 1 on 1 player in the game, so I would have to say Kobe would win.
You guys should go to the link below and watch this cool video of Kobe and Jordan.

Thanks to basketballreference.com for the numbers.
Using the AV (approximate value) method to compare NBA players across years here's what I came up with. It's a complicated formula that turns stats into an integer ranging from 0-20 (twenty being amazingly dominant).
Jordan (1989)
- 32.5 PPG / 8.0 RPG / 8.0 APG / 2.9 SPG / 0.8 BPG
- AV of 19.2
Bryant (2003)
- 30.0 PPG / 6.9 PPG / 5.9 APG / 2.2 SPG / 0.8 BPG
- AV of 15.8
Since it's 1 on 1, the assists are thrown out (good thing, too, since this is the largest discrepancy between them. If it was 2 on 2 Jordan would kill Kobe). They're going to block an equal amount of each other's shots and steal about the same amount. It seems like it'd be close, but that Jordan would pick up an extra rebound or two and make a few more shots. But let's look at that AV number.
Jordan was near dominant (20) his particular year. Before we analyze this, though, let's check out Kobe's AV value of 15.8. Garnett and Duncan are the only two players who beat him in 2003 and they are in their full-on prime. Nowitzki is right with Kobe, as is Shaq and T-Mac.
Here's who Jordan beat in AV in 1989: Barkley, Magic, Hakeem, and Karl Malone. All superstar legends in their prime. Oh, and each one of them beat Kobe's AV that year, too. I get the feeling this would be a floor-mopping after a few trade off baskets.

First off, NBA players today are way better than when Jordan was playing. Not to take anything away from him. He was the Pioneer of how of how some guys are playing now. Kobe learned Jordans game and took it to the next level. Hes a better ball handler and better shooter. 1 on 1 Theyre both gonna get to the hole, I really just dont think Jordan is gonna have as many stops as Kobe defensivly.

Out of 3 Games....
Game 1- Tie
Game 2- Tie
Game 3- Jordan
Kobe Bryant is a more powerful scorer..... but Jordan is too smart... he'll outsmart Kobe...in order to win....... but close matchup...
Jordan is a MUCH MUCH better Team Player but ONE-ON-ONE Kobe is insane.....

Jordan is Kobe Bryant's idol he plays the game the same way MJ did. There is not a difference in both of their styles of play they are pretty much the same player. You cant really compare the two of them they are both in a class of their own.

This is easy one on one is Kobe's game. He would ware Jordan down. Im the biggest M.J. fan out there but Jordan relied on a good supporting cast and Kobe dont want a suppurting cast. He is a ball hog and he knows it.
