lastnight when i went to the restroom i had light spotting, after i wiped a couple times it stopped. this morning it did the same. its just little pink dots every once in a while and i noticed theres not as much discharge as there has been. sorry btw im 39weeks. is this normal? i dont think its nessary to call a doctor, its just light dots but has it happen to anyone? am i gonna start having contractions or water break? any experience of the same?

No need to call the doctor. It is just some dilation.
You may be getting ready to start or it could be weeks, sorry.

Its pretty normal as the cervix thins and dialates to the biggest size its probably ever been or ever will be.
It becomes irritated easily, especially if you've recently had sex.
You should however get checked to see how dialated you are, if your mucus plus has passed (a lot of women dont notice it and it can result in spotting or a bloody show, although this generally has a lot of water mucus with it), and how youre progressing. All things he needs to know to provide you with the best delivery possible for yoru particular situation.
Just call and give them a heads up, and stay active.

spotting happens just before labor! Yay! It can mean the mucus plug has come loose and your starting to dialte. That means the baby is on it's way! Lucky you! I had my daughter at 41 weeks... Don't forget to tell your doctor at the next appointment (unelss you go into labor first!)

sounds like your about ready to pop. CONGRATS!!! this all sounds like your starting to loose your mucus plug. And for some people it may take a few days to loose it, dont worry too much about it but keep a eye on it if for any reason theres more blood than before, call a doctor.

Sounds like your mucus plug could be coming out. You should be at the time when you go to the Dr's once a week anyways. Just mention it at your next appointment

Your probably losing your mucus plug. If your not to concerned then I wouldn't call the Dr. You will be having the baby any time now anyway. Only you know your body.

Did you have sex within the last 24 hours. If so then you could be bleeding because your cervix is sensitive. That happened to me. It was also little spots. I went to the doc and he told me that it was nothing to worry about, but not to have sex for the next 72 hours.

Unless you start bleeding heavily I wouldn't worry about it. Just my opinion. You're at the end ofyour pregnancy and maybe it's your mucous plug starting to go, which usually contains a little bit of blood.

At 39 weeks...you could have lost your mucous plug...and yes, I would call the doctor just to let him know. That way they are aware that you may start labor soon!!!

I do think it's necessary that you call your dr,just to fill him in on what's going on. He may give you some advice or even ask you to come in for a quick check up. You are gettingclose to labor...so better call your GP.
