This is almost impossible to answer. What does she like? How old is she. It is true that diamonds are a girls best friend I am still waiting for my best friend. If she likes reading buy her some books or a CD if she likes music. I love doing jigsaws and over the Christmas she would have some time to do it. I love getting gold earrings too and they are quite personal. I hope my husband asks this question on Yahoo!!

I think you should go with Blondie B's idea. Most women love to be pampered but it's even better if they can go with a friend....so why not buy two tickets for "A Day at the Spa" and ask her to take her friend....You'll get the Christmas Award for the most thoughtful husband 2006.

Your wife works whether it be inside or outside the home. Why not buy her a day off and send her to a nice spa......where she can just relax and be pampered all day long ? And please....don't ask her to cook when she returns that evening.
Take her out for dinner.

Here is what (pretty much) every woman wants..jewelry, clothes, purses. But, go with the jewelry. If you get her clothes and you accidentally get her the wrong size you could be in a bit of trouble. Ex. Smaller=she might say you are trying to tell her she needs to excercise. Larger=she might say you are calling her fat.
Yeah, jewelry is definately the safest!

Don't - whatever you do - buy her something practical, like saucepans or a socket set. A pal of mine bought his wife an ironing board a couple of years back....and she threw it at him!
Jewellery is tricky, too, as it can be personal. Take her shopping for a new dress, or a coat or boots...something like that. As long as she chooses, you can't go wrong....

Something from the heart. Try to get something that you can make it personal by putting her name on it (a watch, locket) or you can try to get her a new pet if she likes. What ever it is I am sure she will love it.
