The problem is that you own an obviously large business (75 or more employees) and by employeeing illegal immigrants you are getting away with not paying legal wages and abiding by labor laws. you are also employing people who don't pay taxes but expect to take advantage of U.S. government provided programs to get health care and other benefits. If you paid a fair wage and screened your employees, and then treated them with respect you'd get a higher quality of worker. But someone who doesn't respect their country enough to abide by labor laws will definately not respect their workers.

Here's how things go where I live. The illegals hang around certain spots (the train station, convenience stores etc.) and wait for landscapers and contractors to pick them up. They work one day at a time and get paid in cash. The police know about it but don't want to be accused of racial discrimination or get involved filling out the mountains of paperwork required to remove illegal aliens from their jurisdiction. It's not really a Republican/Democrat thing so much as a major pain to prove a small on site employer knowingly hired illegal aliens. The laws and regulations are stacked against enforcement in favor of the illegals.

It seems like you posted this just to get people pissed off at you and lash out at what youre doing. Buddy, its your business and you can do whatever the hell you want, but to hire illegals is illegal. Period. There is no MORAL dilemma here, simply a fact. You are breaking the law and YOU should be either forced to hire legal Americans or be put out of business by the FTC. Plain and simple. If your former employees didnt show up because they were in jail, perhaps you should have run better background checks on them prior to hiring them. It's your own fault. Sounds to me like you have no idea how to run a business or manage people. Maybe you should go work for someone else and leave the business owning to people who have a clue. Hmm? Just a though.
Btw, Happy Thanksgiving, loser.

As long as you're hiring legal workers, and you're considering each new hire on a case-by-case basis, you're doing nothing wrong, no matter what the worker's race or class status is.
If you are holding some people to the stigmas that you've placed upon their socio-economic class a whole, and therefore not hiring anyone that you think falls into that class, then you are in the wrong. If you are doing this, then consider the legal ramifications that you could face if someone took you to court for your hiring practices, you could potentially lose your business, and all of your personal worth.

he didn't mention any of them being illegal immigrants. My boss has the same problem with his company, he doesn't hire any illegal people but they are all hispanic, he actually gives work to anybody that asks but the most the caucasians last is a week.
You are doing the right thing, it's better for everyone, let people think what they want to. Have a merry Christmas

NO!..I dont blame you at all, Mexicans are hard workers becuase its people like you that give them the chance to provide for their family. others work just so they can buy personal things or waste it on drugs or alcohol...Mexicans are dedicated and devoted to working for their families! I dont blame you I mean if other people would work as hard as they do they would stay but since they dont what else can you do ..dont worry about what others think its what you have to do to maintain a good business.

It shouldnt be about what race you hire. It should just be about you hiring the best workers for your company. If that turns out to be mostly mexicans that fit what your looking for then thats that. As long as everyone is being treated fairly and no one is being taken advantage of then everything is good.

You are not wrong in hiring the most reliable people you can to operate your business.....unfortunately the current socio-political climate is heading toward criminalizing your actions if the people you hire are not citizens and or legally in this country.

As long as you consider everyone on an individual basis and have a legitimate reason for how it turned out, I think you are right on. As long as you are objective and not purposely not hiring the locals.

Are you paying these people a legal wage?--Bet you're not. I saw my wages drop from $18/hour to $15 to $10 in 3 years because of illegal workers. Your line that no American will work is BS BTW. We wont work as slave labor maybe...
