I think it's a fantastic book and increasingly an important story. I hate to use this word because of some unfortunate connotations, but I found it very "inspirational." That's in the sense of Azar Nafisi's story being one of personal risk and taking her own stand on many issues.

It provides a lot of insight into Iran's society, politics, and the power of literature to embody our dreams.

That sounds like big talk, but the book lives up to it. Although it is not always a pleasurable read, it's fascinating.
