My doctor never gave me a direct answer and i never had an internal examination done, i came off pill about 6 months previously, periods started regular but fluctuate every now and then but had always been normal, not much pain at all, then one month i had really painful period pains, i had lots of blood clots and pain actually made me pass out at work. the thing is it was the day after my period was due, i thought maybe that was what my periods were going to be like from now on but my periods have been normal since, no clots and no pain, although i now have been told i could have trouble concieving because my periods are irregular and i only get about 2 a year now. so this make me think it wasnt and it was just a one off different period!! does anybody know if this could be or not??

You should probably talk to a doctor for real advice but i'll tell you what i think know. A friend of mine has a similar problem, and she was also told that she may find it hard to concieve, her periods can be very erratic and heavy and painful. Its certainly possible you had a miscarriage but i want reassure you not to worry. I believe about a third of women have a miscarriage at some point, most very early in pregnancy and most women will not even be aware they had had one or were pregnant in the first place. So without being the doctor that examined you, i can't be sure if it was a miscarriage or a heavy period, i'd suspect the later as that is more common than you might think but if you have any doubts i'd recommend you speak to your doctor. x

It could be a miscarriage, or just a painful period. It's hard to tell unless you had gone to the doctor at the time and either have a pregnancy test done or the clots themselves analyzed. A lot of early miscarriages are difficult to distinguish from menses

If you are only getting two periods a year, it probably means you aren't ovulating regularly. That can make it harder to get pregnant, although there are medicines that you can take which encourage you to ovulate. That does not mean that you are infertile, or that you shouldn't keep using contraception until you are ready for a baby. If you are ovulating and you have sex around that time, you can get pregnant... the only difference is it happens less often for you than for a typical woman.

Sounds like you did have a miscarriage the same thing happened to me. I didn't know I was pregnant and my period was late. Finally it came a week late but spotting. The next day it was horrible pain and lots of clots that made me pass out. I thought it was strange so I went to the doctor they drew blood and found that my HCG hormones were high so I was about 6 weeks pregnant. If it just happened a couple of days ago you can still do a blood test to be sure go to the emergency room and they'll do it right away.

It's unusual to get a one-off different period. I always used to get really heavy and painful ones until I started a new medication (not the pill). It sounds like it could have been a miscarriage especially if you weren't very far on.

Remember that although you were told you "COULD" have trouble conceiving it was only a possibility, it didn't mean that you would have trouble.

an identical component handed off to me a pair of months in the past. they often propose waiting until you have had one general era after a miscarriage in the previous attempting to concieve. That way it provides your uterus time to get returned to regularly occurring and improve a healthful lining. It grew to become into 4 a million/2 weeks in the previous I have been given a era. My next era grew to become into overdue and that i took a being pregnant attempt... 6 infact, all detrimental. I have been given my era, returned it grew to become into at 4 a million/2 weeks so thats telling me my physique is a sprint out of synch on the 2d. terrific component to do is take a attempt its the only way you will positioned your suggestions at relax. good success!
