Does Troy Smith compare with Vince Young. The way I see it is still to early. Vince Young was one of the greatest QB's ever in CFB. Vince Young should have been wearing a S on his chest with a cape. He could leap tall defenders with a single bound and throw faster than a bullet. Seriously though running wise Troy Smith is not Vince Young but he has great skills and good decison making. He will need to beat Michigan and be the MVP in the bowl to be compared to Vince Young. If he falls short of that he is not on the same level.

I said Young is one of the greatest not the greatest. Even if he wasn't a pocket passer the guy was a man among boys. Few teams in the history of CFB would be able to contain him with the Texas offensive line around him.

EASY!!!!! with the "Greatest QB in CFB history! Vince Young was a better runner, but I think Troy Smith is a better passer and maybe even more poised. Smith is more NFL ready, but if you are talking college, then your'e right - Smith needs to win a title.
I don't put too much stock in the Rose Bowl game. USC did give up like 50 pts to Fresno State, and their defense really couldn't stop anybody last year.

Vince is a better runner and Troy Smith hasn't won the national championship yet. Vince is better, but let's see what Troy Smith can do this week.

Vince youthful in college, yet Troy Smith became into extraordinarily stable in college aswell. yet Smith choked contained in the super activity VS Florida, yet Smith contained in the NFL has are available on some drives and has been stable.

Troy Smith is probably the most underrated QB in college football history, and I should yes, because he can win like Vince, and it's a great leader.

lmao. troy smith shouldnt even be used in the same sentence as vince young. he's not even close to the level vince is on. yeah troy will win a heisman but vince didnt....but who is smiths competition? the only reason vince didnt is because of a guy you may have heard of....reggie bush. i an so tired of hearing troy smith compared to vince.....the only way they are alike is they are black, both wore #10 and both won nat'l titles.(smith will this year)

well thats tough, in the pocket i would take troy smith over vince anyday, and you are crazy if you disagree with that. 4 INTs this year, 3 were tipped? are you kidding me, lol. scrambling vince by abilty, by troy is smarter to know when to run and when not to. although vince is taller and will make the better pro, Troy is the better qb though.

well i wouldn't say Young was one of the greatest QB's ever, but he was good. Honestly i think Troy Smith is better...he is a great pocket passer (something Young lacks), plus he is fast and can make plays out of the pocket, and i think he is a smarter football player than Young...he has better instincts. so i think Smith overall is a better QB.

no he is not even close ,vince young will probably be a good pro player troy is too short and probably be in the league two years on the bench if he even makes it.

that QB you metioned can play but he is nowhere near the caliber player VINCE was at Texas.
the suckeyes QB is a hell of a player but that would be like comparing Peyton Manning and his little bro..... two totally different level of player.
