Pro's - you can find stuff without having to go running around looking from store to store, can get a good price if you know what item values are, you can learn the history of specific products, you can get rid of the clutter in your home by selling stuff.

Con's- dishonest sellers, poor merchandise vs description (you have to trust without seeing the item), people trying to scam you, slow response from ebay in removing bogus auctions - I reported someone 5 days ago about violating ebay's rules and the ads are still up.

Unless you rise above the crowd you can make a success on Ebay. For that you have to have some edge over your competitors, your very own USP (unique selling proposition). You must grab the opportunity before your fellow marketers.
