i own a repair shop, and its possible its something small like that, they, have a throttle pressure cable that might have slipped on it,or even broken ,and this helps it shift right,,but if you can get it cheap enough you can repair the transmission, and still not have a lot in the car, its probably a nice car to,so id take a chance on it,, id say once you get it that it wont take long to repair it,,good luck,I hope this help,s,,and have a good Thanksgiving.

I had my transmission rebuilt and after it was rebuilt I had to shift in manually when it was cold, I added transmission fluid and it shifted better but never right. Check the transmission fluid to see if it looks burnt (very dark) if it does mostly it needs a tranny, if the fluid is light check the level, with the car running warm.

Could it be a manuel transmission? Some cars are manuel. Maybe it could be something in the shifting column, like the linkage.

I have to side with dodge man, it's probably something simple.

Of course, after being on this site for about a month, I wonder how many cars he repairs now, since he's always here... :-)

It could be a vacuum, it could be low on fluid and it may be something more serious inside. Really hard to say without looking at it.
