Aaaaahh.... How convenient. Reaping financial incentives earned while married with a dependent AND wanting child support too? What a work of art you are.

You must consult with an attorney or look up the child support laws for the state in which you reside at the Public Library. You are probably eligible for some funds but you may not be able to easily or quickly collect them even when you can document and establish need.

You have to file for divorce in order to get child support.. filing takes a while, but in the mean time you can go to family court and file for child support- now if you were never married that's different.. you can go to family court and file the papers for child support and everything else

Generally, you don't.

Except for a permanent separation (filed with the court), both parents are presumed during marriage to provide for the child. If they don't that's their problem, and potentially grounds for charges of child neglect.

Of course, the laws in your state/country may provide a specific remedy, so you should always consult with a licensed attorney.

How would you get child support from your own husband. And why would you want to. If things are not working out, its time to leave, officially.
