Born and raised ! Cant wait to go back. It is indeed a beautiful continent. I really wish that the western media wouldn't portray it as a bed of aid seeking, poverty streaken, illiterate minded waste basket of the world.
Like most Africans( not talking about Afro-Americans or black Americans) you will meet love their continent, and look forward to returning home. I for one can vouch for that.
There is no other continent with such a diverse group of people, culture, language, so on and so on. I could start talking about the abundance of natural resources but that was not the intention of the question.
There are so many beautiful places in Africa that I can hardly just pick one particular location.
I lived in the Ivory coast, Kenya, Liberia and visited DRC, Ethiopia, Senegal, Ghana, Tunisia, Egypt, Djibouti, Angola,

I'm from South Africa, born and raised, been around the world but have to say the best place ever is home. I love it there and Durban in particular. We have perfect weather. Around us it snows, but where we are, we never get too cold or too hot. It is total perfection. There are so many things to do for fun and if I'm really bored, I go to the beach and just read a book looking over the see. So peaceful. At night I can walk from my place to the beach and enjoy the light cool breeze.

I love Durban!

I hate that I have never been to Africa, but would love the experience of going there. I am in love with animals of all kinds, and it would simply be a trip of a lifetime for me. A safari is the way I would like to visit and get around Africa. (I am afraid its only a dream)! I am glad you had that experience and shared that with us.

Not me personally, but many of my Ancestors took voyages to Africa just to have their progress ruined years later by a man named Abraham Lincoln, and people say he's one of the best presidents ever? he took the work of hundreds of people and just threw it away!
