My future husband is almost 10 years my senior. Don't be all stupid and childish. Men are usually beyond this if you guys are in the similar age range we are. Just be yourself and if he likes you he likes you. Take it slow and just see where it goes.

Catching his eye should be easy; you look young to him, and young is usually more desirable to the hind brain; the animal part that works on instinct. The hard part is letting him know you are interested in him. An older man generally finds it hard to believe a younger woman is interested in him, unless he has a lot of money. So you will need to let him know in some way that does not give him a false impression.

What do you know about him? What do you have in common? If you can get close enough to talk to him on any excuse, you can give him direct looks that express your pleasure in looking at him, and find a conversational excuse to make the point that he does not seem old to you. Often, such a man will say, rather bluntly, that he thinks he is too old for you. Simply deny it. "Nonsense; men don't wear out that quickly. You don't look any older than me." (Even if this is not strictly true, it is subjective enough that it can't be denied.) You might also mention several movie stars who are still very sexy although they are older than your gentleman. Johnny Depp is in his 40s, as I understand; but he's still exactly what a man should be, in my opinion. (I have lots of company here.)

Good luck. I'm much in favor of older men for young women. They treat you better and value you more. Just don't waste your time on a married man; not worth the trouble.

First things first, is he married???? If so drop it, if not trying acting like an adult and talk to him on an adult level. Also, remember one thing that if you decide to take this relationship to a different level he will 8 years ahead of you in everything including the aging process, intelligence levels, financial responsibility, and he probably won't know a lot about the music you listen to or the things you believe in. Be careful about dating older men....

Unless you are out of college and in your career look for someone more your age. If you are a teenager or in your early twenties, you wouldn't want him if he wanted you. Hard to understand, but it is true. Ask your parents, remember, they went through all this way before you did.

If you are in your mid-twenties and don't know men well, then work on your looks. Men are very visual when it comes to women. Go to the mall and get some makeup tips from the professionals that sell it in the big department stores. Get some nice clothes that "show" but don't "shove" your curves. And, yes, flirt a bit. If he is shy, you may want to ask him out but realize he may not be real strong if you have to make the first date.

Be yourself. If he finds out later that you are not really "you", he will wonder what else you are lying about.

Keep in mind that how you wiin someone's affection is how you keep it.

I think a man falls in love with a woman because he thinks she will never change. A woman falls in love with a man thinking she can change him.

If you can learn to share what you have in common, and not force what repels him on your prospective mate, you will be ahead of the game.

BTW, 8 years is fine if you two are beyond 21. If not, I'd find someone closer to your age.

Heck just tell him - most guys like it when you just come out and say it instead of beating around the bush

well first of all you have to act nore mature. you have to be doing something with your life, cause he not going to want to mess with a kid. you have to be social. if he knows your young he's not going to start the conversation so you have to start it.
