those were the good days. My family and I would take just about everything. We would pile up in my dads truck and have blankets in the back..and you can't atch a movie without eating. Since food at movie places are high we would bring chicken. Not fully cooked or nothing, we would fry it right there on the fry daddy(lol). Everyone would come to the car wanting some chicken..it was just too fun. Yeah, those were the good old days

When I was kid, my dad worked in a bank. This was back in the days when Friday was the only day banks were open late. My dad would work until 7:00, he'd pick up a pizza on his way home. Then my sister and I would put on our PJs and we would go to the drive in. We had a station wagon and my mom would fill the back with blankets so we could go to sleep if we got tired. I don't think my sister and I ever made it through the movie; we always fell asleep. Maybe that's what my parents had planned all along :)

We still have a drive in around here that we can take my 5 years old daughter to once or twice a season (it's about 40 min away)!
I can remember when I was little going to see Disney's Jungle Book with my parents and instead of watching it, looked out the back window and watched National Lampoon's European Vacation. I had no idea what was going on since I couldn't hear any of it but it is one of those things that just sticks out in my memory!

When we were really little my parents would put my brother and I in the station wagon in our pajamas and we'd go to the drive in.
I remember NOTHING about any of the movies we saw (we did this 4 or 5 times) but I can remember the popcorn and the blankets piled in the back seat and fallin asleep all curled up while mom and dad watched the movie... like it was yesterday.

When I was kid my family would load up in the van and go to the drive in. The younger kids would play at the playground most of the time. Us older ones would eat pizza and watch the movies. It was a great way to get everyone together. I really miss it.

I use to go to them when I was a kid but alot of times i didn't watch the movies I went there to play on the swings and slide and they had the best hot dogs EVER. But then the times had to change and almost all of them closed. I wish there was one still open then I would take my daughter and let her see some of the stuff that we had when we were going up.

good old days? we go to the one down the road from our apartment every summer...they don't use the small "speakers" anymore, you have to tune your radio to a certain station, but not all of the drive in theaters are gone
