Of course there is. Almost any small business that is normally done from an office can be done from home. Accounting, bookkeeping, consulting, graphic design, law, medical billing, and software development are just a few examples. A few years ago, The Wall Street Journal profiled a man who runs a mutual fund out of his house (when SEC auditors show up for annual inspections, they work at his kitchen table).

The real question is, what skills do you have?

There are many real home based business that work. In fact every one that I have ever done works. But they will only work if you do. Many people buy a kit, shove it in the closet and wonder why the money isn't pouring in. Others try marketing to a few friends and if they don't go for it, become discouraged and quit.
The trick is to treat your business like a million dollar business. Show up for work every day, and just keep at it. The only way you can fail with a home business is to quit. You need to develop a thick skin because you will face a lot of rejection. But that is true with any sales position. But if you write down your goals, take advantage of the training and tools and make up your mind that it WILL work, you will be successful.

Best Start a Home Based Business Based on YOUR Know-How

Find the type of business on the link below that best describes what it is that YOU do (or want to do). Then see how to truly use the Net to make your specific business (or business idea) thrive. http://www.wotsnext.com

As an example, take a look at how I use the above. Then see if you can fit something similar around your own area of expertise. Then all you need is a passion and some persistence. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/are-you-psychic.html This page links you to all the resources I use.

I highly recommend you take a look at www.buymynoni.com

It's the best direct selling model I have seen. The company has created a business model that takes all the bad things associated with network or multi level marketing.

The downside for some people is that it is free to join and they give you a web site so it's up to you to put a value on the business opportunity. I am very exited that I found them and that is why I pass it along to you.

You can start your own online affiliate marketing business.Means selling someone else's products (generally digital- ebooks, softwares, subscription services etc.) and can earn handsome returns with a very little start up cost. The main advantage with affiliate marketing is that -suppose the product you are promoting is not selling well due to some reason, you can drop that product & chose something else to sell.In short as an affiliate you are essentially a free-lance marketer - not bound by long-term contracts having a freedom to review/revise/remould your plans as per the demand in the market .There are lots of people out there there -- people just like you -- who are enjoying the financial freedom that comes with successful affiliate marketing.

I have a home based business and it does work. The key to businesses is do not expect to get rich overnight. My brother and I are both in it and we were listening to people who are making 6 figures in our company and they averaged 3 years with the business. That is key in all home businesses, for it to work. If you are interested, let me know and I can pass on ifnormation to you!
