The West Indies is not actually a country. West Indies refers to the Caribbean islands as a whole.

The West Indies includes many island-nations through the Carribean: Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Maarten's, St. Kitt,s, Dominica, the Virgin Islands... these are just a handful ogf them.
